Southwark Council are destroying the resting places at Camberwell Cemeteries to sell off as new burial plots - from Victorian tombstones and headstones, to graves from the Second World War who died in the Blitz,

The Council calls this 'reuse' - but these graves are already in use, by the people who have been laid to rest in perpetuity.

Save Southwark Woods is campaigning to preserve family and social history and the woods and natural heritage and beauty of the Camberwell Cemeteries.
